Sustainability in Action at Post Ranch Inn

People and Planet

Guests can see Post Ranch Inn's commitment to environmental stewardship from the moment they first arrive, with earth-tone buildings carefully nestled into the coastline. Powered by a solar array, built with sustainable materials, and landscaped using drought-tolerant native plants, the entire property embraces the Big Sur wilderness. A fleet of Lexus hybrid SUVs shuttle guests around the property and are available for complimentary usage, while the on-site spa utilizes natural and biodegradable products in all of its wellness treatments.

Flora and fauna are being protected, including the iconic redwood trees, through extensive habitat restoration and removal of invasive species. The grounds act as a refuge for endangered and at-risk wildlife such as the Smith's blue butterfly, California red-legged frog and the California condor. Post Ranch and caring guests generously contribute to The Big Sur Community Fund, which was established to support local charitable organizations.
